I'm determined...

I am determined
to not  miss these days.

For years now, I have missed these  days
of late spring and early summer
 in the garden
(the flower garden, my flower garden)
and on my porch
because I was too busy.
Too busy with the sale and all that goes into it.
NOT this year.
I will stop and smell the flowers.
I will  sit on my porch.
I will eat my pancakes outside.

I will stop and see the beauty that is now.

I think it took every last  peony bloom
to fill this coal bucket
it.was.so.worth.it.

You probably won't be hearing from me
much in the next few weeks.
I'll be painting. or holding that grand-girly or sitting on the porch.
Something's gotta give...
but don't you worry,
I'll be back when it's all over.

Rene ~ your porch is just beautiful and those peonies! Wow! Enjoy yourself this summer! I am going to...it's really hard for me to blog or do anything on the web site in the summer...I always have to force myself. I would rather be outside! xo

I think we all need to be reminded, once in awhile, to 'stop and smell the roses', or in your case, enjoy the peonies!
Thank you for the sweet reminder~

Your porch is so dreamy to me. How I wish I had a covered porch and not a deck so I could decorate it better and not worry about rain on things. I hope you have lots of dream time on your porch and with your beautiful grandbaby. Enjoy it! Time flies. Hugs, Pamela
