Sunday show and tell...our studios

A studio is where you work, right?
Well, this is where I work.

This is the real deal.

From previous posts, you know thatI'm trying to get myself organized
but everything just takes soo long.

and there are other things

like laundry
and graduation
and new grandbabies.

soo, I will just show you where I work.
HERE

and here

We finally had nice weather so we made it a high production weekend!

My husband joined in the fun-we pulled out lots from the barn and enlisted the airless paint sprayer. Normally, I use a little cup gun but when we want serious painting we use the airless.

Someday, I will have a cute, storage area and I will be able to find everything. But it's all about the project, right?

These are some of the containers

I've been collecting to

use someday.

lots of wire basketsold muffin tinsI love boxes and cubbies
this is not soo cute
but
it works!
I will be visiting all the other posts for inspiration

These are my favorite so far

bits and pieces...

My heart started racing when I saw this...

It was at a yard sale, although not a bargain price, just a cool find.

I think it was it was the top to either a pump organ or a fireplace mantel.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it yet.

I'll let ya know though!

I've been recovering from the weekend activities and working on a few projects for the shop.

Here are some before and after pics...

I haven't seen that grandbaby since Saturday so that is on the list of -to-do's this weekend! I'll try to post more photos!

It's that time of the week again-the week just goes by soo quickly-time to hit the yard sales so that's where I will be!

seniors...a blessing

these 4 girls have grown up together

here they are practicing for the special music

for their gradution ceremony

I lift up my eyes up unto the mountains,

Where does my help come from?

My help comes from You,

Maker of Heaven,

Creator of the earth.

Oh, how I need you Lord

You are my only hope,

You're my only prayer.

So I will wait for You to come and rescue me
such sweet music to this momma's ears

*doing hard things*

I was soo proud of my *girl*
My heart was soo blessed

I've been wanting to participate in the Show and Tell Sunday
for awhile now-
here is something
near and dear to my heart!
My Rose dishes!

This is my first set of rose china
handpainted for me by my dear Grammy
for my 6th birthday

I think it all started here...

These are just a few of my favorites
Most I have displayed in cabinets
my husband built for me
On my *to do* list for the summer is to rearrange them-
I'm going for a more relaxed style

I just love off-white dishes-
they can go with anything and
so simply elegant!

Why do today?

What can be put off for tomorrow?

I am soo bad-
it really takes the pressure

to get me moving.

We are busy preparing

for our daughter's graduation reception.

There really is nothing like a deadline
to get things done.

The parlor hasn't looked this good since ...

ummm...

Christmas...the last deadline!

Well, anyway, as my daughter says-

"it's what you're best at"

stashing and decorating!

Have a great weekend-

I know there are other moms with graduates out there-

Let's celebrate these blessings!

All I ever wanted to be...

When I was a young girl of 18
all I wanted was to be a mother

I wanted my children to know
how much I loved them
and even more importantly

how much our God loves them

I have been a mother now for 28 years

It has brought me joy beyond what I thought possible

I have loved the feeding of a newborn baby, the hand of a toddler in mine, hours of reading stories, and the late-night talks with teens about important life stuff.

I have loved working together,

playing together, and

most of all serving our great God together.

It has also brought me much pain.

The pain of infertility, the pain of giving my children away in marriage, the pain of losing much loved and wanted babies, and the pain of watching my daughter suffer.

But God is good, He has blessed me so much. He has given me this awesome opportunity for service. An opportunity to grow in grace and to learn more of the Father's heart.

All of my dreams have come true.

This is how my family spoiled me on Mother's Day

yummy breakfast waffles

flowers from my boys

more roses and chocolate-

(what could be better?)

and a heart-felt love letter

I know this post is a little late,

but I have been pondering motherhood a lot lately.
