It's coming together
Vendors are moving in

Everything that is going to be painted

has been painted.

I think.

My props are in place.

You should have seen the happy dance

when I (I mean dear husband) hung this up.

This is the orginal porch railing

from my house.

Isn't this a great use for it?

I'm almost ready,
don'tcha think?

Now, I get to start the fun part...

...setting up.

More decorating.

Only 2 days left.
3...
if I don't sleep tonight.

Here are some fun photos
from my trip a few weeks back.

Molly Mo's

Diane met me at the door with a hug and a warm welcome.

She is such a sweetheart!

She has style, glamor and the cutest little shop.

I didn't want to leave-just stay and visit
but there were places to go and more friends to meet.

Next it was on to Auntie Joy's.

Joy has the best laugh ever-
she too made me feel so welcome.
Joy has a more whimsical style with lots of fun things.

I even brought home some of her cast-off projects.
Hopefully, they'll be finished for my sale!

That's Isabel peeking out there -it was fun visiting with her at the same time.

I was too shy to take pics here...but it was darling!

You can check out her blog to see the wonderful things she makes.

Finally, at Tarte's I found even more goodies.

(How cute is that?)

Most of those pics I showed from Monticello were from their booths

and they had the same, vintage yumminess here.
In fact I brought that straw hat home with me,
along with these, waiting for my bedroom makeover.

Now, it's time for me to get back to work.

Only 7 days left....

We were on...

a Mission.

A mission to clean out the barn.

My husband is re-claiming it!

Can you believe that?

A few of the projects
we are working on for the sale.

But, do I have to sell it?

Please, can't I keep it?

"Why do you need another buffet?"

I don't.

But it's going to be soo cute.

And yes, that is a bathtub in the background.

I have *plans* for that, too.

Who is that masked man?

Only 11 working days left

We are in high production.

or high-stupidity.

graceful words...

The Lord your God is with you,

He is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
He will quiet you with his love.
He will rejoice over you with singing.

A day of rejoicing, part 2

Another reason we were rejoicing!

Grandkids!

It was the triplets first *public* appearance...
after 6 months of isolation
we could all be together again!

I'm a little embarrassed to admit
that I was quite *grandmother-ish* with my camera...
BUT

I was just so excited to be together!

A day of...

~rejoicing~

I love to set a pretty table

an art I learned from my grandmother

For the place settings,
I used pages from an old music book

I love my *rosepoint* dishes
a collection begun on Ebay

Most of these are treasures
I already had or thrifted.
Like this hat I found
in perfect condition last summer at a yard sale.

It's a good thing Miss G is the cook of the family

or we wouldn't have any food

to put on these beautiful dishes!

We are a team!

The building of a ...

centerpiece.

First I set a *theme*.
For Sunday, I wanted to use spring, music, and rejoicing.

Next, I started gathering,

taking from other areas of the house.

I ended up with more way more than I could use use.,

making a big mess.

I like to use table mirrors or something similar

to define the space and to give it a stopping point.

I tried this empty frame but it just wasn't doing it for me.

Hmm...Look around...

there's something I haven't used before.

Yep, it might work.

Then I just start *playing*

arranging by height and balance.

It's all in the details.

Is it a little over the top?

Probably, but I like it.

Come back tomorrow for the finished product.

a little blue...

for you.

Here are 2 of my vintage Easter postcards.

They just make me smile.

I picked this cup up from The Shabby House.

It's been a very long time since I've chosen anything blue

but this was soo sweet.

I'm thinkin' a scoop for my laundry soap?

Talk to you soon,

Rene'

Ultimate grace...

while we were still sinners

Just not enough....

Time...

There are not enough hours (not to mention not enough energy)
for me to get to all that I want to.

Thanks for all of the comments on my woodwork.

Wow! You all do have an opinion....grin.

That's what I asked for.

I won't be doing anything for awhile except spring-cleaning and getting ready for this sale and finishing school & flower beds that are in desperate need....

Yes, I need more time!

.

.

.

Seriously, I do struggle with keeping it all in balance.

This is my simple prayer as I begin to prepare

for our Resurrection Sunday Celebration.

Teach us to number our days aright,

that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Psalm 90:12

I'll be trying to get back to visit all of you soon...

Spring Doings...

It's that time again!4 weeks and counting...

I'm busy with all of the preparations for my 3rd SPRING sale.

There are postcards to design and distribute, and I really want to get *real* business cards but I want to design those , too, and professional signs I'd like to make, and cute little price tags and all that other *business* stuff. Then there is all of the product I want to create...and display and...

Does it all sound little A.D.D.? well, it is...my head is starting to spin!
