on how i spent mother's day...

We are back home
from watching my girl
play
golf
in the Idaho State Championships.

She struggled  with nerves on Day 1

but came back on Day 2
ready to have some fun

She cut her score from the previous day by 10 strokes
and finished 11th overall

Definitely, the most unique Mother's Day
I've ever had.

(Preston, Idaho)

I was tempted to stay home and work.
I am so glad I didn't.

It turned out to be a great  time
away from computers, deadlines, and responsibilities.

I was able to really watch my girl.
to see  her smile...even when  she hit the ball into the water
or missed a short putt.

It was an awesome gift of  beauty.

I wouldn't have missed it for anything.

What a wonderful way to spend Mothers Day, I love the picture of those majestic mountains. WOW I went on to read about your family. what a beautiful one you have. Those grands are so adorable. What fun Christmas must be at your house! This was my first visit to your blog, but won't be my last.BTW I have triplet cousins, who are now 60 and as much fun as they were when they were little.

Rene,
Some gifts don't come wrapped in paper and bows...nor are they hand delivered to your home. But this Mother's Day Gift of your granddaughter's golf day will be etched as one of the most cherished for years to come! Thanks for reminding us that our time spent with family is our most treasured gift of all!
Fondly,
Pat

W E L L done to your daughter and well done to her parents... always the success behind the children. Looks like it would have been a great few days away for you all. If you get a chance I have a post atm about a derelict old house I know, I thought it would interest you. Anyhow off to make a feast for tonight's guests, lambshanks and vegies and sticky date pudding and caramel sauce....can't wait.
