roses and rust...

Here are a *few* more photos

of last weekend's happenings...

I enjoyed the whites of Wednesday's post
but I'm really getting into this *new* look.

New for me, anyway.

It seemed as though, it was what I kept finding

as I was out thrifting.

Rusty, chippy, warm, quirky shabbiness

roses and rust

I am glad it is over.

It was delightfully fun and rewarding

but it was also very consuming and stressful.

My husband is still struggling;

he gave me the go-ahead for the sale...

but as we got more and more into the preparation of it all,

I doubted that decision.

BUT after postcards had been mailed

there was no turning back.

The show must go on.

God is good...He saw us through and blessed us

with a great crowd and a great sale.

I love my new *cubby* display piece...

My husband kept shaking his head as I was working on it.

But, hey, while it may not be perfect ,it was given to me

and it does do what I had in mind...

I never get things as *full* and as *accessorized*
as I'd like to...it could be because I'm still painting

come the Thursday morning before the sale.

I'm gonna have to work on that...

I'll leave you with a few photos of

my vendor's spaces.

Lupe' and Toni (from The Tattered Cottage)

Marilynn from Gatherings

I really do think it was my best show ever
both in quality and quantity

thanks to them.
They are so patient with me

and trust that somehow

it will all come together

at the last minute.

BUT not one minute too soon!

Sometimes they even pitch in and help me stash.

Thanks, guys!

OH MY GOODNESS! I would have loved to have been at that show...your booth (and the others) looked great! Oh, and please tell me that the picture of George Washington is still for sale....if it is, I am very interested!
I am glad you had a good sale, but it sounds as if a great sigh of relief is in order!

Hi Rene, You sound so much like me its not funny. I so often take on more than I should and get to the point of no turning back before I realize it. It always goes off well in the end but juggling life along with events is challenging. It all looks wonderful!! Blessings Kathy

always enjoy visiting your site...what an inspiration. We have converted our unattached garage into a shop and I do 2 sales a year.....it is alot of work, but, as you said well worth the effort. I love meeting the people. Would love to come to your sale sometime.

It's all beauty to me...as some would say 'eye candy'. I can see how much hard work it is, I am thankful your rewards are fruitful. Now, rest awhile...cozy up and delight yourself in the warmth of Autumn.

Dear Rene,
What a beautiful show. I sure would have loved to attended.
Do you plan to have another show...I know it will not be soon as that production took alot of time and planning but I would say by the looks of things it was thrilling and successful...stunning and tantalizing to the eye....an overload of "needful" things..lol
I love that table with the harp chairs or they look like a harp to me...so gorgeous.
I love your blog. I joined as a follower sometime ago but I know you were very busy with the sale. My husband and I are high school sweethearts, marrying on Friday, September 13, 1973. I have no grandchildren and one son and dil, and my precious daughter, Amy who has terminal cancer according to the drs. but we ARE EXPECTING A MIRACLE FROM THE LORD.
I LOVE THAT YOU HAVE A CHRISTIAN BLOG AND THAT YOU LOOK TO THE LORD FOR HELP. I have found with Amy being so ill, it is not during these days that material things bring any comfort or peace...it is the LORD we run to.
BEAUTIFUL BLOG.

Like I have mentioned many times before, I wish I lived in your neighborhood...even more now than before, after seeing these latest pictures. Just beautiful!

Wow, looks like it was a fabulous show! Wish I lived closer - I know it is TONS of work! I do think it's worth it though. I keep doing my three times a year shows and always ask myself later if I should keep doing it - the answer has always been yes (so far)!

Hey

I am bummed I missed this. I was planning on coming, but life threw a huge curve ball and I completely lost track of days. I could have used a lovely trip to the country and some eye candy! Glad things went well and I will for sure make it next year!
