The PINK Lady...

The Pink Lady

She was found

at

a

yard sale

You never know what you will find!

Last summer on one of my excursions,

she was there

I commented on her lovliness

" she is for sale"

Are you serious?!

Just the type of car my daughter had been drooling over-

how cute would that be for graduation and wedding pictures?

I get home and casually mention my find,

well, next thing you know we're off

to check her out...

Daughter to Daddy...I just love her!

Daddy to Daughter...me, too.

Now, normally we don't just buy things like this ,

just because our children "love" it

but dear husband loves old cars and his girls:)

So here she is,

1956 Ford Fairlane

original body color:
coral mist with colonial white
How's that for shabby?

My daughter's and I are drooling...we are so jealous!!!! That is some find...beautiful, beautiful, beautiful...it's what dreams are made of. Your daughter is one loved daughter thats for sure. And she looks like Hepburn in that rose dress, heels, purse, cat-eye glasses in her new Ford Fairlane. I just adore the interior, it is gorgous. All I can say is God is good!

What a cuuuutttteee car! I love it! The interior is great. What a beautiful car for a teenager, and the perfect color for a girl! I have a 1967 Pontiac Bonneville convertible and love it. We had to have the whole interior detailed with new upholstery and a new exterior paint job, but it now is exactly how I envisioned it - turquoise blue, white top and blue interior. Can't wait for nice weather to take it out! Love your blog!

That is a GORGEOUS car! A perfect fit for Grace.
My Dad still has the '56 Chevy from his younger days in his garage, but the interior is nowhere near that amazing.

This car makes my heart beat fast. I LOVE IT! When I got married, we went away in 1955 Chevy. Oh, how I loved that car! You are so blessed to have found it. It was just the right touch for your daughter's beautiful wedding.

Where does she find her cute vintage dresses? I love the one she's wearing while sitting behind the wheel (the flowered one). Did she make it? I want one. I would wear nothing but these types of dresses if I could find them or a pattern to make them.
