life...

Life has hit.
Like a ton of bricks it  hit.
And so did the emotions

Yesterday
 we received a phone call
My husband's oldest brother had unexpectedly passed away

(if you remember...my husband lost his twin brother last June)

My husband is still grieving.
It hit him hard;
physically and mentally.
He has aged before my very eyes
I miss him so...
If you've walked through grief
with someone
you know what I mean.

I've been worried about his health.
There I said it-worried.
Really worried.
Down in your gut worried.

This morning, my oldest daughter called.
She was concerned about her pregnancy.
(For those that have been reading even longer you'll know
she lost her sweet Ellie at 24 weeks a few years back)

This pregnancy has been a day-to-day test in walking in faith.

She's at 18 weeks
and had not felt  movement
so I went with her  to check it out
You do not know
how badly
I did NOT want to go into that Dr's office.

No heartbeat.
again.

It is heartbreaking
for a mother
to see such raw pain on her daughter's face.

I will be away for a few days as I  pray for and serve my family.

I'm thankful for simple things:

the little ones that keep us busy,

caring Dr's that cry with their patient,

and

the Word of God that brings hope and comfort.

I can't even begin to imagine the pain that you bear right along with your husband and daughter. May you find solace in the knowledge that the Lord will carry all of you until you no longer feel the raw pain you feel today. Know that you are not alone, and there are those of us who grieve with you for your unspeakable losses.
I'll keep you in my prayers.

Oh Rene',
You know that words can't possibly tell you what I want to tell you..
That I care, that I'll pray...and that some day things will be better.
I wish I could give you a hug. And your daughter too. Tell her and your husband that there are people out here who are praying for them, that God would send His Holy Spirit to comfort each one of you, as only He can do, with the peace that passes understanding.
Love to you all,
Doni

I am so sorry. I wish that I could give you a hug and let you know that my heart hurts for your family. I lost a baby at 14 weeks and carried him until my body naturally miscarried. Such a bitter sweet blessing. (I can say that easily now) I am so very sorry for your daughter. I am so sorry for your husband. I am sorry for you. I will pray for your family as you walk through this time of sorrow.

He will give you what you need when you need it, just hang onto Him with both hands and hang onto your beautiful family. Feel His arms and walk in faith. You are in my prayers.

I'm so sad along with you. Deep grief. You are in my prayers. The verse "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away." comes to mind. We don't understand, but we remember He loves.

My heart goes out to your family. I too have had tragedy in my family a few years back. The only thing I could do is one day at a time, one moment at a time and sometimes one second at a time. I will pray for you and your family.

Oh, I'm so sorry - Bless your hearts...Sometimes Life just hurts, doesn't it? But this too shall thankfully pass. I know only too well and too much about grief as my husband, mother and younger brother went to heaven last year during a 9 month period. Regarding your husband, I did learn when my brother left, it was amazing how it affects you to have a sibling die - something about losing your sibling really takes you aback because this was your birth family, you experienced childhood with him and he had the same memories as you. Also he loved our mom and dad like I did - not many can still reminisce about them. It's your inner circle and it has been broken...

I will bring your daughter and husband and all of you in prayer to our Resurrected Lord...may He strengthen and heal and comfort you all.

Rene' few things in our lives are as hard to deal with as grief..it is so unpredictable with our emotions from day to day...even moment to moment at times.
I am sorry, really sorry for the pain you and your family are dealing with right now...it's a LOT of for you to have to shoulder. I know that deep and helpless feeling.
Your husband.. is feeling very "threatened" right now..with his own mortality.
Your daughters loss is the deepest of all.
And if we did not have our FAITH......and the hope in seeing our loved ones again..yes, and I believe, even our little ones who never came into the world alive.
I am CERTAIN they will be there waiting for us in their PERFECT and immortal bodies.
I will be praying for your entire situation .
Take especially good care of yourself. Everyone needs you.
WITH LOVE,
Rose

I came over from Tickleberry Farm. I recently lost my Dad and the ache is very present and I feel deeply for you in your losses. I miscarried with my first pregnancy and know how difficult it is to grieve for someone you so deeply want to know and to love. I will go before the Lord on behalf of your family. I will follow your beautiful blog.

Praise be to God...the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in trouble with the comfort we have received from God.

Oh, how my heart grieves for you. First, for your dear husband's loss, and secondly, for your precious daughter's aching heart. As a mom, I know that when our children hurt, the pain is such that we sometimes feel we can't bear it. Only God can comfort us at times like this. As I whisper a prayer for your family, two scriptures come to my mind.
Is. 41:10 & 43:1 & 2, and Jer. 32:27.
May God bring you and your family comfort and peace.
Blessings,

Dear Rene, I pray for the comfort that can only come from the heart of our God. I know that you and your family will walk in faith and hope no matter what. Tell your husband how sorry we are for his lost, thank God for the hope of Heaven. Tell your sweet daughter that our prayers are with her also. It seems that in our walk of faith we sometimes we get hit with all at once. We are strong in the Lord and we stand no matter what. I think the difference between a believer and non- believer is the fact that we do not loose sight, we cry, we hurt, we worried, all so human, but at the end of the day we raise up and proclaim the truth. God is good , and he is good all the time, always. WE praise you God no matter what. Blessings to you Marta.

Rene amor, I am so sorry for the losses that you and your family are facing at this moment, sometimes saying I am sorry seems like so little when it is coming from someone that isn't dealing with such pain, but when we had so many losses in our family in such a short period, knowing so many cared for us during those hard times, truly bought us comfort. I hope it does that for you too. May your hearts be full of love to overcome the sadness that you are feeling at this time and bring you much strength in the coming weeks to deal with everything that you need to. My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. Besos, Rose

ps..I truly hope what I said makes sense and helps, sometimes I my thoughts are hard to put into words, but know that my heart is in them.

Sometimes words are so inadequate to help someone in their time of grief, but God's word is always timely and healing. It took me a long time when my dad passed away -- everthing would remind me of him. Please take your time in grieving and don't hurry the process, God's ways are always best. Blessings to your daughter too -- what is our extreme sorrow is heaven's extreme gain. I will be praying for her and her family.
