You know how there are those minutes?
When , in a split second, everything is changed?
We had one of those minutes.
While we were away, we received a phone call.
The kind you always fear will come.
My husband's twin brother had passed away.
Suddenly and unexpectedly.
Just like that.
gone.
He was a kind and generous man with 2 teenage children.
He was one of the favorite uncles.
He was a good brother, always ready to give.
He was my husband's friend and playmate during a very rough childhood.
He was the quarterback and my husband the receiver
during high school football.
He will be missed greatly.
Please pray for my husband...his heart is broken...He loves wholeheartedly so he will grieve wholeheartedly...Pray for the Lord's mercy and protection of his heart during this time of suffering...that God will be his ALL...that I will be the wife he needs during this difficult time (we've been down this path before...I know how hard it will be)...
that we will endure...
that we will rest in the arms and grace of our God.
thanks so much,
Rene'

So very sorry.. Loss is so difficult and prayers are with you...
Praying for you!!!
From Samuel Rutherford's writings in The Loveliness of Christ, I give you this quote:
"They are not lost to you that are laid up in Christ's treasury in heaven. At the resurrection ye shall meet with them: there they are, sent before but not sent away. Your Lord loveth you, who is homely to take and give, borrow and lend."
Oh Rene... I am SO sorry! We will keep you all in our prayers and pray that God will uphold you and your husband in the days and months ahead...even years.
Our sympathies are with you...
Hugs~

I am so sorry for such a loss at such an early age. I have been Praying for you and your Family since I read your post.

So, so sorry to hear of this great loss. We who are left are the ones who suffer the seperation from death. I will keep you all in prayer. It's so much harder on twins. We have alot of twins in our family. My grandpa was a twin in a family of 15 siblings, four sets of twins.

I am *so* very sorry to learn this news and can't imagine the grieving taking place at this time. There is such bittersweet reality to this difficult news...one being the bitter, that your husband's twin is no longer on earth, and two being the sweet, that your husband's brother is with the Lord.
Dear one, please know that through the grief, the chaos, the utterly lost emotion of it all, the Lord God is with your dear husband (and you and family). I pray He will go before your husband, loving and guiding Him, gently, mercifully, tenderly. Ecclesiastes shares that there is a time for every purpose under heaven..a time to weep, mourn. This is the time. I pray His presence is a precious ointment of grace at the most needful moment. I pray that the Lord would strengthen, keep and protect each of your hearts during this time, barring the enemy from attempting to thwart the work God is doing just now. I pray for his wife (you didn't mention a wife - I'm assuming) and precious children, that they would be lifted up and supported, that their needs and cares would be tended and met. I pray that in His time (and not the world's) the fog you're all experiencing would slowly and gently lift. I pray all these things in the name of the Lord, may His Name be blessed in all things.
I continue in specific prayer as the Holy Spirit leads...
Love you,

Hi Rene,
I stop by your blog every now and then to smell the roses, but never leave comments. When I read this post about your brother-in-law I thought how sad. When people that we love leave this world it leaves a huge gaping hole in our hearts so I'll keep you in my prayers and pray that the Lord will heal you and yours.
God bless,
Cori
Oh no, it's been awhile since I visited, and now I hear what you and your family has been going through. Rene' hope you're doing fine and prayers are helping you and your family heal.
Hope time has helped with the healing, I know God has placed his arms around your family. Hugs Mary
