the art of...

Junque'

This was the final leg of our trip back in March.

I had forgotten that I had never shown these pics.

It was a great place to poke around

to find all sorts of treasures.

I love how their everyday product

becomes displays of art.

(and organized, too!)

Got tubs?

Even my husband enjoyed shopping here.

This is what I brought home.

It was intended for the opening in my parlor

but somehow it ended up here

in the space between the kitchen and family room.

It just fit-

no cuts needed.

I don't know if it will stay there or not-

the range is below and I'm thinkin' it will get pretty grimy,

we'll see...

Thank you all so much for your sweet words.

I'm almost finished with my project...things always take longer!

But here's a sneak peek.

Have a wonderful Sunday,

Rene'

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! I love the gingerbread and the color of your kitchen, so beautiful and the accents you've chosen, perfect! And I can't wait to see the new project...kind of looks like it may be a bathroom or a laundry room? Happy Sunday to you!

It looks perfect where you have it--so pretty. But I understand the grime. Maybe you can put something on it that will make it easy to wipe clean. Looks like it's always been there!

Dearest Rene,

Thank you so much for your words and prayers. We are doing better. The LORD's love unfailing. These glimpses of your home make my heart swoon. Such peaceful romance...all the white and pale mint walls are so calming. I hope the architectural piece remains...it's beautiful. Being that it 'just fit' seems it belongs there. You have a beautiful soft touch... A very lovely lady you are. May your week be laced with roses, Fairmaiden

Oh dear me oh my I'd simply go nuts (in a good way) in a shop like that. I'm thinking that even Rocky would enjoy it! What an amazing place.

I *love* how that decorative piece fit just peachy in your home, Rene'. For right now (or a longer season) it's right and pretty and makes for a longer glance. :o)

Bless you,
