bushels of...

This is what brought me joy

for Mother's Day:

hand-picked and hand-delivered

from my son

from his prize lilac bush

Seeing *my girl*

with her boys

Babysitting the triplets

Cameron, Madison, and Blake

Roses and a new Bible cover

from my girls

And this card brought tears

of happiness and laughter

to brighten my morning

open to song playing: Who's that lady?

How about you?

What brought you joy ?

So lovel, your whole post and the family photos. I can almost smell the lilacs. I had my own bush growing up, but sure do miss lilacs here in the south.

Mother's Day brought time with my daughter and husband, a realization that certain personal expectations aren't necessarily healthy and thus should not be entertained, a belief that a nap can indeed renew and bolster one's spirits, that love is an act of will, that I'm humbly blessed to be my daughter's mother and that I'm also humbly blessed that my husband chose me as his wife and mother of his child.

Love love love the brooch and pictures of you and your precious grand children. Adorable!!!
