i do, me too...

when a picture is worth a thousand words
when a daddy gives his little girl away
when the two become one

ok
now we'll talk about  the stage:
she said
i want old, chippy, white, and architectural
I said
how about this?

we started with the arched window
(borrowed from my bestie)
backed with burlap
next we added 2 chippy doors

the sideboard/dresser is a piece from my thrifting,
that we shabbied  up
she picked it out from my stash

 it was her wedding present
I wanted her
to be able to keep
her  marriage altar
 as an heirloom

recognize the sconces used for the unity candle lighting?

yep, they're from my bedroom

next week,
 I'll finish
showing you
the rest of the decorations
and
what we ate
so
come on back for part five.

This is a lot of work
but
it's making me sort through all of those pictures
to pick out my faves.
By the way,
for any local readers,
jamie is an awesome photographer
and
we highly recommend her

I'm linking up with vintage inspiration friday

So many lovely photos! Your sweet girl looks so beautiful, so sweet and so very young, but who am I to talk? I got married two week after my 20th birthday! (And I'm still happily married 17.5 years later!) Best wishes to the adorable couple! It's so nice to see young couples, full of excitement and dreams starting out their lives together! And I love how you decorated the stage! Happy New Year to you and your lovely family! You can see the love in all these wonderful photos you have shared!
Hugs,
Michelle

So gorgeous and unique! this wedding should be featured in a wedding magazine.I'm having a blast just drooling over every aspect.

I LOVE the stage !! I want to get married again :). What a clever idea using things that she will be able to work into her home. So many of us are stuck w/traditional wedding things and no use for them after a few hours.

Really, I couldn't love it more. You did a fantastic job !

I just spent the last twenty minutes on your blog, reading through the last many posts. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed my visit. The beauty, inspiration, creativity, photography, and tender moments that I found here, blessed my day in a special way. I just loved the wedding pictures and all the details that were so carefully included in day. In light of the fact that our youngest daughter is getting married on the 8th, it was so much fun to read your heart in the comments with the pictures. It was certainly a most special event. Thank you so much for documenting with your thoughts and the amazing photography. I appreciated it so very much!

Happy New Year to you and your lovely family!

Oh Rene', what a beautiful vintage inspired wedding. I've so enjoyed looking at all these lovely photos and what a gorgeous bride she is.

How fun to decorate for, but I'm sure in a way you are glad it is over. Btw, that white corbel looks familiar. Who wouldn't want a wedding full of architectural interest? Probably my daughters when they're older:(

Best wishes to you and your family in the new year.
