rest...

from our labor.
I really do like to work.
I probably work too much.
but today we are resting.
We are off to church and then some much-needed family time.
I'll be back soon to show you what we have been working on.
But for today, enjoy your rest.

May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us;
establish the work of our hands for us-
yes, establish the work 0f our hands.
Psalm 90:17

I love your blog. Your photos are inspiring. My eldest daughter is a homeschooler too. She lives right next door to me. I count myself blessed. She dreams of living in a farmhouse one day, but until then she's happy to live in the center of our city on a quarter acre with chickens and a vegetable garden.
The sweet sixteen that you gave your daughter looked so inviting and romantic. I love your style!

We share the same idea; today my son asked me to do something for him. I told him I would do it tomorrow. As he started to object, I reminded him that today is my rest day.

God bless your day.

Rest in Thee. Bless you with your dear family this labor day weekend. Take the time to go out and smell your roses...sip some tea on your porch...enjoy the simple pleasures.

Hi Rene,
It was wonderful to get your lovely words today.
Ember and I and all the girls(except Season) are having so much fun. All the children together makes for very happy mothers and even happier g-mothers, don't you think?
Your mosaic of roses is gorgeous, And I love that we all have this special day to rest from our worries and labors. Thank you for sharing.
Hugs,
June
