Proud Mama ahead...
My daughter
really wanted this 4x4 rubik's cube
for Christmas.
10 minutes after opening
it was in pieces
on the floor.
144 pieces!
Tears.
We couldn't return it,Tears.
more tears.
Wait!
*You Tube*!
She sat there,
followed directions and put it all back together!
And *loved* doing it!
Now, back to *You Tube* to solve it.It's hard.
I don't get it.
Tears.
Look at it again.
Confer with brother-in-law.
The only one in the family that understands these things!More study.
Wait, I see it!
almost there
Look, Mom
I did it!
Life lessons
in patience,
problem-solving,
and perseverence!

Hi... I don't want that for Christmas
My son got one of those as a gift too and no one can seem to solve it. Mu hubby tried and still nothing. And he's a math major. The ones that can must be amazing problem solvers. I loved this post. Too cute.
I have not seen one of those in years. Great job she did!
YYAAYY!!!! Way to go! That girl rocks!!!!
Hi Wow what patience!! Did you just start your other blogs? They are great. Maybe I somehow just didn't notice them before. Looks like you are selling lots of great pcs. Happy New Year!! Kathy
You have ***no*** idea how over-my-head that cube is. No idea. Beyond me. Call me 'challenged'.
On the flip side, I'm ***so*** impressed that your daughter actually took serious time to figure out how it all goes back together and then even completed the cube pattern. wow!!!!!
But I agree with "Sweet Old Vintage"...I don't want that for Christmas either. :o)
You have every right to be proud of that, Mama! Sweet victory!!
I am amazed by your blog! You sure have a way with words and photos. It should be in the top 10 blogs if it isn't already! Beautiful, amazing, loving blog! And that graduation dress for your daughter...WOW! Blown away by the talent of your daughter! Loving that car too... Blessings in the new year!
I can't do those things either. And I don't really have the time or patience required. Oh well, maybe some day.....Congratulations to your daughter, she has the patience and skills required, good for her!
what a nice brother in law she has!! :-)
You have to love youtube! I'm impressed she did that! I would never be able to figure it out!
