Right?
Simplify.
These are the buzz words of our time.
I have made a hard choice.
Some of you will remember that I sold
at 2 different shops.
It was wearing me down.
My family suffered
my home suffered
and my creativity suffered.
soo at my husband's direction,
I have left Downtown Treasures.
I hate to quit.
I want to problem solve, to fix it, to be loyal.
To quit is
to admit,
I can't do it all.
to admit,
I can't do it all.
So now I will focus
at The Shabby House
at The Shabby House
and my house.
Sales will go down
but priorities will go up.
It's all good.
Less is more.

I understand, and you are a wise one to figure this out and act on it.
I always remind myself that "The Lord didn't do it in just one day...neither can I!"
Good luck to you.
It is very difficult to make some choices... If it doesn't mean survival I do think you will have more time to smell the roses and share with family. Good Luck....
Hello Rene; I understand what you are feeling, but you have to do what is best for you and your family. I have a feeling you will do great sales with the less is more.... Enjoy your family and some more time...
Hugs;

Hi Rene,
Oh, these kind of decisions are so tough, but it sounds as if you've made the right one. A well timed pruning always brings more spectacular growth in due season. I suspect all the area of your life will blossom anew!
I love your honest, sweet sharing from the heart...
Hugs and blessings,

Hi Rene,
Oh honey, I think that your sales will soar, energy will abound and creativity will blossom.
You are getting it all in the right order and that is obedience. It will have it's reward. Just wait and see.
Hugs to you my friend.
Becky
You're being wise to follow the direction of your dear husband, Rene. :o)

Rene, You are absolutely right, you can't do it all. Whatever you do don't wear yourself out. SIMPLIFY GIRL!
Hi,
I agree,,and learning less is more, is a real challange for me so I can relate. I even bought a sign and on it is painted "Simplify",,but it dosent get noticed. Balance is my new word to remember just now. Thank you for visiting my blog. Yours is wonderful,,I want to go look more.
Take care
Marcie
I just wanted to drop a hello, Miss Gracie. I live in your neck of the woods and have been to one of your lovely sales at your home. Unfortunately I left empty-handed because I simply couldn't choose (that's what happens when I like TOO MUCH.) One of these days, I am going to visit the Shabby House and peruse your wares. Hope you have a lovely day!
Two shops? Yes, you took on so much! I'm so busy with our 4 kids, hubby, house, Very Vintage Shop and website. If anything is to go, it will be selling at Very Vintage. Family is priority! Sometimes we forget, but we always come to our senses!
It is MUCH better for you to downsize your life now...before you are FORCED to do it..by wearing yourself into an illness.~~ I speak from experience..I worked TOO HARD for too many hours and tried to do it all too..I eneded up with Fibromyalgia and HAD to retire at the age of 58...PERMANENTLY !
It's a long wait until you are 65 to start collecting Social Security. So do whatever you have to do now, so that you don't have the CHOICE to do it later on.
I love this quote..
" You have crossed a bridge. Reach not back. Move on ahead and press into the fullness of all I have prepared for you. It is waiting for you to step forward and receive. Do not tarry, and do not question, neither allow doubts to enter your mind. Your heart may cry out and rebel, but if you will return to Me in those moments, I will give you My peace. I send you no place except as I have gone before."
I wish I could REMEMBER the name of the book..and where I got the quote...but I don't right now.~~
But GOOD advice.
Rose
