paying a call...

Blogging reminds me of receiving visitors
and returning calls during Victorian times.
You visit me and leave a comment
and then I visit you and do the same.

But I fear, I am soo behind in my return calls-
a total breech in "calling etiquette".

Today the wind is blowing -(AGAIN)-
so I will not be able to paint
so hopefully I can get caught up and return the graciousness!

But until then...

Thank you for all of your sweet comments,
especially about our home

I do know that I am blessed.

Blessed to live in an area of the country where housing is affordable,

and to have found this gem before real estate prices went crazy,

I am especially blessed to have a husband

who shares this love of old houses with me
and is not afraid to work or jump in to do new things...
without him -I'd be in town somewhere-
he really does make my ideas happen!

Thanks, dear!

Have a great day!

Thanks Analise!

One thing I ask of the Lord,
this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
To gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple.

Friday fun...

Here are some of my thriftin' finds of the day

It seems like I find things in spurts
one week it is tables
the next is dressers
well, this week it was shelves
all kinds of shelves

I like to do shelves
so many different things to do with them

and they are good sellers, too

I found this french provincial dresser
I love all the details

They always paint up so nice

Here are some of the vintage finds

Score with the baggie of glass crystals for $2.00!

This caught my eye

I want to do something different

So, OK ladies -give me ideas!

Well, I'm off to gather pics for

the Sunday Show and Tell

this week's topic is "trash to treasure"

This will be fun!

A studio is where you work, right?
Well, this is where I work.

This is the real deal.

From previous posts, you know thatI'm trying to get myself organized
but everything just takes soo long.

and here

We finally had nice weather so we made it a high production weekend!

My husband joined in the fun-we pulled out lots from the barn and enlisted the airless paint sprayer. Normally, I use a little cup gun but when we want serious painting we use the airless.

Someday, I will have a cute, storage area and I will be able to find everything. But it's all about the project, right?

These are some of the containers

I've been collecting to

use someday.

lots of wire basketsold muffin tinsI love boxes and cubbies
this is not soo cute
but
it works!
I will be visiting all the other posts for inspiration

bits and pieces...

My heart started racing when I saw this...

It was at a yard sale, although not a bargain price, just a cool find.

I think it was it was the top to either a pump organ or a fireplace mantel.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it yet.

I'll let ya know though!

I've been recovering from the weekend activities and working on a few projects for the shop.

Here are some before and after pics...

I haven't seen that grandbaby since Saturday so that is on the list of -to-do's this weekend! I'll try to post more photos!

It's that time of the week again-the week just goes by soo quickly-time to hit the yard sales so that's where I will be!
