who does that?

We were talking the other night
about all of the comments
left here and at my daughter's blog;
about all of the love, support from *friends*.
One of the *male* participants in the conversation  says:
"Who does that?"
Who comments to *strangers*?
Well. Apparently,
YOU do!
You girls are the best!

My heart has been touched.
THANK YOU so much.

I've cried , I've laughed, I've prayed.

I've watched my grand-boys.
(busy!)
I've mothered my 13-year old.
(music...it's always about the music)
I've encouraged my Miss G
as her boyfriend heads back to bible college.
(tears and thankfulness)
I've fought with my husband.
(hey...just keepin' it real here...you know what happens with stress.)
I've reached a major goal
(I'll tell ya about that later)
I've finished my taxes
(don't ask how that went)
and I've made up with my husband.

It has been a week of up and downs.
Someone said to  me:
"It's been a rough week"
Heck, it's been a rough decade.
oh, the tears...
 the pain,  the losses,  the rejection,  the changes,
 the emptying of the nest.

Psalm 86

Hear, O LORD, and answer me,

 for I am poor and needy.

 Guard my life, for I am devoted to you.

       You are my God;

 save your servant  who trusts in you.

 Have mercy on me, O Lord,

       for I call to you all day long.

Bring joy to your servant,

for to you, O Lord,

       I lift up my soul.

 You are forgiving and good, O Lord,

       abounding in love to all who call to you.

 Hear my prayer, O LORD;

       listen to my cry for mercy.

 In the day of my trouble
I will call to you,

       for you will answer me.

but it has been a decade of blessings.
oh the joy...
the new daughters-in-laws and a son-in-law,
 the  grandbabies,
 the provision of the Lord,
Oh, the mercy and grace.

 For you are great and do marvelous deeds
 you alone are God.

Teach me your way, O LORD,

 and I will walk in your truth;

give me an undivided heart,

 that I may fear your name.

I will praise you, O Lord my God,

with all my heart;

I will glorify your name forever.

For great is your love toward me;

 you have delivered me

from the depths of the grave.

for you, O LORD,

have helped me and comforted me.

My daughter is doing OK...and my husband is doing OK, too.
We see the cardiologist on Wednesday...

I wanted to show you a peek
at what I've taken a few minutes hours
to work on in my bedroom.
It is something that is dear to my heart
and helps me to remember my blessings.

What a beautiful post, Rene! We have such a loving Father.

I want to say thank you, to you for taking the time to visit with me and to encourage me. You are such a beautiful blessing and I know I'm not the only one who feels that way. Isn't it wonderful how God can use anything to bring people together.

Rene` ~ So glad to see you felt like posting tonight. I dropped by a couple of times to check on you. Thought of you often and prayed for your family (so grateful He is our burden-bearer).

My thought is that we who commented and prayed for you are not strangers - we are your friends. Haven't seen your face or heard your physical voice but we certainly have met you heart-to-heart. We've heard your thoughts, opinions, hopes and plans. We've seen your home, your decorating, your pets and your family. We know your faith, your personality, your love and kindness. Oh, yes, we know you. And we're so glad we do.

Rene,
It's been too long since I visited. Easter vacation was fun, but I'm way behind on my blogging. I love your post, gotta check out earlier ones to get the whole story. I love your week in a list! I think we've all been there LOL. I'm off to read what else is going on in Miss Gracie's house. Lisa

Rene',
Been thinking about you so much and praying for you too. I was telling my husband last night about your daughter's loss *again* and the tears came once more. He replied,*She will see them again in Heaven* to which I said, "I know , but a mother wants her babies in her arms NOW".

I am so thankful for a God who loves, cares and hurts with us...and pulls us back out of the pit!
Hugs~

God is so faithful! Your faith in Him is so strong! You are an inspiration to me! I will be praying for your hubby as you all go to the cardiologist this week. I know how scary it is. I love what you have done in your bedroom. The vignette is gorgeous and I love the photo of you and your hubby. Thank you for sharing! Love you, Paula

Ah yes, life IS good and always a necessity to count our blessings. There are always more of those than not. What's the alternative? Not so good, huh! LOL!

Blessings to you!
