what i did on my fun day

Monday,
my girl  youngin' and her daddy hit the ski slopes
leaving me with an entire  day.
A day to do whatever I wanted.

my fun day

I am such a homebody

I stayed at home
and
worked on  my cabinet in my kitchen.

You'd better believe it.
Everything is getting a make-over around here.

Here's  before

I started with the bones,
keeping in mind, the style and where I was going
lots of white, of course
and warm, romantic
VinTaGe
and shabby.

Next, I added music paper
to the back

I  put everything back together
making a few changes.

Next up, my favorite step

I add the pretties.

the touches that soften

that warm it up

that make it  me.

Did I have fun?

Yes, I did.

I suppose  you are wondering about that family room reveal?
My family room and  kitchen are connected

so naturally

one makeover does lead to another

 Be patient
It is coming!

I'm gonna go ahead and link up to
I know it's late
but
it is still Wednesday
and better late than never, right?

Looking good! I love the sheet music paper and just the right amount of stuff.....perfect.

I hope things have slowed down since the wedding and I'm just like you.....if given the chance of a day to myself, it would be at home.

Take care,

What a pretty makeover! I love the before look too but the after is so vintagey white. I like the idea of the music sheets for a back drop and may try to use that. Have a wonderful day!

Oh, you are a girl after my own heart!!! Time alone to play house, fluffing, redoing and redecorating... that is my kind of fun day!!! I LOVE the cabinet makeover! I love roses and flowers, but lately I must admit I've been crazy for whites and neutrals and I really adore what you have done!!! I love the white, silver, sheet music, lovely lace and of course, the touch of bling! Just perfect!!!

Just wanted to let you know that my friends and family who read my blog loved your posts on Miss G's wedding that I linked to the other day...they don't know how to leave comments yet so they all called me and wanted me to pass it along!

Wow, I just love what you did with your cabinet. I can feel the excitement of having the entire day to yourself to do whatever you want....good for you! I am your newest follower. I'm looking forward to checking out your other projects.

I had to giggle too...I was in your family room and I didn't notice your changes. I did notice the playhouse door and your typewriter. My attention span is short when it comes to vintage treasures :) I'm feeling better today, but I did absolutely nothing all weekend, well except sleep, take meds and rest. I know you're keeping an eye out for a typewriter for me, if you come across a vintage restaurant receipt carousel...I would be interested in one. The older ones that would have sat on the pass through window.
