after the storm.
The storm's name is
Miss Gracie
she touched down here...
the site of the Barn sale
and
this is the aftermath of the storm.
It is quiet
and
I am left wondering...
what to do
now
now
after those l-o-o-o-ng frantic hours of last week.
~
~
~
I could clean-up
I could do my mountain of paperwork
I could organize
but
I did this
I played with my roses
I tried all sorts of backgrounds
in all sorts of places
Which one do you like best?
tomorrow
for
White Wednesday
to show you the rest of the story.
apology here:
I do so appreciate the comments left for me
over the last little while
i am slowly trying to get around to see you
but I know there is no way
I can get caught up.
Please, KNOW,
that your comments mean so much to me
they encourage me
and inspire me.
so, don't stop!

Oh Rene.. I have a big smile for you... because when my world gets to be a big mess, and I have too much to do, I just want to sit and play with my pretties too:-)
Bella
Your mess makes me feel a little more normal:) I bet the sale was wonderful!!! and the rose pictures are beautiful.Blessings after the storm~ kathy
What better way to unwind and enjoy the moment than to "play" with those gorgeous roses. Roses may fade, so enjoy them while you can.
Your photos of the aftermath are even gorgeous!!
xo,
Debra
That's exactly what I do when life gets too crazy, Rene...play with something pretty! Keeps us
sane(r), doesn't it?!
Those must be David Austen roses...my favorites...so fat, luscious and fragrant! Just can't tell which ones they are...
Hope your night is just wonderful!
Julie
hahaha... laughing at the aftermath of the Gracie Storm! What a doozie she must have been!!
Good luck cleaning... and the roses are simply STUNNING.
xoxo
Your roses look beautiful! I love your pictures!

I'm so glad you took some time to play and also that your house looks like mine when it is "show time".
Can't wait to see what you have in store for us.

I love this post! It's so refreshing to see that other people make messes to. I thought that I was the only one to have such an aftermath, and then I to want to play... I think I play because I make such a mess I don't know where to begin to clean it up, (it can be a bit overwheleming at times) anyway I love your beautiful photo's, all of them!!! Blessings~~~Daphne
Rene' ~ I would have done the same thing! I am sure taking a step back and smelling your roses gave you a little boost of energy. Looking forward to tomorrow ~ hope you enjoy today!
Your storm looks like it was lovely. What pretties you have there.
I love, love, love your rose photos. You are a wonderful photographer, and peace and love come flowing through with each picture.
Have a lovely week ~ FlowerLady
I am so glad my house is not the only one that looks like that once in awhile!! lol Isn't it amazing how messy looking it can get when preparing for something. hee hee
Love the roses!!!!!
Hugs~
Why don't my aftermaths look as pretty as yours???? You've worked hard you deserve a nice rose break!!!
I LOVE the roses in front of the old chippy painted door! LOVE the contrast, and your photos, as always, over the top.
Take care, Sue
The pictures are all beautiful!!
I think I like the one with the chicken wire behind it the best!
There is no way I could pick a favorite background. As long as those beautiful roses are the focus, the background is inconsequential!
Thank you for the lovely distraction of your beautiful pictures.
Rene, you make me feel so human! It's so nice to see other people's homes that have things all over the place. I hope your sale went GREAT!
I love the roses, good choice to take pictures! The first rose pictures are my favorites. Talk to you later!
Your roses are amazing, Rene'!!! I wish I was a bumble bee and could come by to smell them. :)
Have a great day,
Zuzu
This is so funny Rene, having your home all in a disarray. Hey you can always get to it at another time.
Sometimes my bedroom can look like that when I don't know what to wear trying on everything just so I can find the right outfit and not be late for the occasion and I end of being little late anyways.
Beautiful arrangement of Pink Roses.
Your something else.... LOve it!
Even though it was a storm, it looks like a very pretty storm! I love your rose photos.
xo
Claudia
The calm after the storm...love it. The roses are beautiful with every background you photographed! Enjoy your calm cuz more storms are just waiting to come...smiles...
I apologize if you've already blogged this, but what kind of roses are those??? They are BEAUTIFUL!! I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to horticulture but would love to try my hand at growing those if possible!!!
your roses are stunning...i would rather play with those then clean up any day...hope the sale went well...still wishing i could have been there...
I'm glad that your sale went well.
Wish I could have been there!
Your roses are beautiful and I would be playing around too.
hugs

Rene~ I live by the saying "my house is clean enough to be healthy and dirty enough to be happy"!! As long as you are doing what you love~that's the most important thing! I love the rose pic under the mosaic~~Gorgeous and I'll bet they smell yummy! Hugs, Julie
Oh, I think we're kindred spirits! So often I have ignored the messes to concentrate on the beauty! (But I hadn't thought of it that way until now!) Your rose pics are amazing! Impossible to choose a favorite! I love them all!
Blessings!
My favorite piece is the picnic basket filled with goodies.
You have some amazing things and inspire all of us in blogland with your fantastic displays.
Amy
What a relief to see that I'm not the only one to have a disaster area after an event. I love what you did to distract yourself with these beautiful photos....you are so amazing!
I thought those were peonies....oh my goodness ...I can hardly believe they are ROSES.
They are enormous and of so beautiful in all the settings you have them in, it would be impossible to try to decide.
