I've been looking at this unfinished project
for 2 years now...
for 2 years now...
something was missing...i didn't know how to fix it
so i just moved on and tripped over it
alot...
I knew it had potential
a little cabinet with these sweet jars
I've been afraid to try
I don't know why
probably because there is no right and wrong...
I'm a black and white kinda gal.
OK...you can do this...let's just try.
So, I just started...and you know what?
I had so much fun!
So I had 2 victories!
I finished a project

Your finished project is just fabulous! I too have the same trepidation regarding projects, and end up leaving things unfinished for years. It's very fulfilling to complete something that you've been tripping over for quite some time!
It's beautiful. This is something I also hope to do soon.

I have found that many times if you rush into a project it just doesn't turn out right. You not only have a new talent but a fab little cabinet as well. Congrats on a job well done.

Shelley
Holy Crow!!! I love that - gorgeous. I have several of those projects laying in my craftroom. You have given me a little encouragement to look at them again. You did a wonderful job.
Love the pictures as much as the project. Found your blog through White Wednesday, and will definitely be back!
Hello
Your cabinet turned out so wonderful and isn't collage fun! You did great!
I know what you are talking about having to be dedicated to the shop. It has been tuff because I don't have anyone working for me, so it is just me! Wish this economy would pick up so I could have a few days off a week :)

I think that is one of the prettiest cabinets I have ever seen. I did decoupaging years and years ago...now I am doing it again....and it's so fun and each piece is a one-of-a-kind. Happy (late) White Wednesday.
That is terrific....I love that look and am adding little touches of it in my bedroom.
Your blog is so lovely....off to browse some more :)
Rene, it turned out beautifully! Doesn't it feel good to get something done that just seems to never go away. I have a lot of projects like that to do. I hope that this haas inspired me to get at least one out of the way.

Rene,
Girl you are a natural! If that is your first try I cannot imagine how you will be 6 months from now. I would totally buy that if it was for sale. Of course I love all the things you do.

Dear Rene,
thank you for your visit and lovely comment.
I would like to warn you that apparently myh blog has been hacked into so no visits seems to be possible these past couple of days. I'm not so confident I'll be able to solve the problem all by myself, so I'll be most thankful to you if you'll e-mail me at ritapitoni@hotmail.com in case you happen to know of someone else who's encountered the same problem (and, hopefully solve it).
until my blog is again alive and kicking I'll be checking out yours as often as i can. I'm so addicted to all the lovely blogs of the marvelous people I have met so far that couldn't live without them.
Until the next time, take good care and happy blogging
rita
Oh ggod for you. I'm kinda the same way, being a black & white gal. Sometimes we just need to give ourselves permission to NOT be perfect! After all thats what we tell our kids. Your blog is so pretty....nothing to worry about at all sweetie. Besides I think youre perfect!
This turned out great and so pretty! Collage projects are so fun to do! I've done many and they have never disappointed me....yours is truly a "miss gracie's" style! And, yes I am going to be selling some of those "Girlfriend" type necklaces on my etsy...stay tuned for when I list them!
