farewell to my white...

bedroom...

I have loved this room but it is TiMe for a change.
The winter has provided me a much needed rest
and the creative HoMe juices are churning once again.

My beadboard wall is just the beginning of my to-do list.

this is the mess I am in the *middle* of...

My inspiration is coming from some of my most favorite rooms ever
featured in Country Living

And how about this one?
Too far, maybe?
It reminds me of the condition of most of the houses
we have bought
when we bought them
and
when no one else wanted them...

my favorite elements that I will be keeping

Wedding certificates

wedding shoes

and wedding photos

(Part of) My to-do list:
finish this off with a mirror or pictures
and some great old lace...better get shopping for that:)

to order and install the rest of the fixtures
for my 4-foot soaking tub...
a 4 footer~just right for my almost 5 ft body.

HELLO
to my new (WHITE) room
and my renewed energy!

I will keep ya'all posted on my progress.

I know your room will be gorgeous when your finished. you have so many lovely things you're working with. Oh my, those shoes, they are just darling. I'm crazy about the wallpaper in that 2nd. image from country living, sort of a white on off white. Looking forward to see how it turns out. isn't tearing off wallpaper such a bummer? yuk!

Visiting your blog is like me taking "a free and much sought after" decorating course. It seems to me, that the trasformations that abound here, are always done just like the magazine pictures. This post is another one of the ones that fit in my "beautifully done file". I can't wait to see what follows.

I redid my bedroom with my little piece of the tax return. I bought a Shabby Chic ruffled duvet set and a ruffled bedskirt (Wal Mart). They are all white and I love them.

It sounds like you have a great team work in place. Will continue to follow since your blog is one of my favorites. Blessings, Marta.
