my new white...

Here are 2 of my christmas presents...pretty and white, of course

The pitcher is from my mom...see the pretty lacy gold trim?

The scale is from my daughter...it has a sweet story.... she bought it from me
at one of my sales before my look had started to change.
The other day I was admiring it in her kitchen...and mentioned that if she ever changed her mind to give me first dibbs on it...
my daughter is NOT a hoarder
(I do not know where she gets THAT from)...
well ,there it was under the christmas tree with my name on it...
whn I told her she should not have done that...
she said she was so glad to be able to give me something I really wanted...
and I do love it!

I had a few minutes the other day to *play*

Life has been really quiet...since Christmas that is...
I've been playing spending a lot of time with my daughter...
we've played games, done more baking, and
had some of that *other kind* of Mom moments...
I've really enjoyed the special time...

my brain is starting to turn again....what shall my next project be?

These gifts just might be my inspiration to get going.

Gifts of perfection, to be sure! I also love the pearls - the deep vanilla tone draws me in. Thank you for sharing this today - makes me want to take a few minutes myself and spiff up one particular area at Tickleberry Farm. :o)

Gifts from the heart are the best! Your family has BiG heArt<3

That scale is somethin'...I'm aweing over it. I really like your new look...been going that way too...return to all shades of whites, simple, uncluttered, touches of black, earthy pots, nature, out with splashes of color, and faded roses always remain.

I do lOvE your snow covered home and gardens below. Your days slowed down and spending sweet time with your daughter are priceless.

Lovely things.

I, too, have been quiet lately. Going into my second year of being retired. Although hubby and I travel about the country a good bit, I'm actually missing the structure of former years. I'm sure I'll get over it, in time.

Happy New Year!

Hello~
Thank you for your warm welcome!
I'm lovin' your whites, very nice ... I'm going to search out a scale like that once my kitchen re-do is done.
Hey ... do I spy with my little eye a few balls of white string in your pics?? I'm going to have to point those out to my frugal husband ; )

A Way beautiful image....and how sweet of your daughter to be so generous and loving.
I have a friend like that if you admire somehting of hers she often just gives it to the person. But she is wealthy and she can always find more at any time...and the she loves the HUNT...like we all do.

Seeing that scales that you received as a gift, reminded me of the one we had at home when I was quite young. Only you could take an old scales and make it a thing of beauty. These pictures depict the lovely and artistic way you can put things together and have them look so good. Can't wait to see what new project you start.

I had to chuckle at the re-gifting of your scale.....My Mum, daughter and I all loved much the same things......sometimes we couldn't even remember where a piece began because it would have moved around all three houses several times. And, when my daughter and I have a garage sale we don't know who's items are who's!

Warm blessings,
Spencer
