This is where you would have found me on Black Friday.
This nursery puts on one of the prettiest Christmas open houses around.
My Mom and I took the day off, and went to check it out.
And this wreath...
it was...
PLASTIC!
It reminded me of my grandmother.
Isn't it funny...how everything comes back?
There was the plastic vintagey wreath
right along with the all of the other glittered goodness.
And then there were these pokey things...don't know what they are called.
And when I showed them to Mom she said,
"Grammy used to make those"
I had a really good time of just browsing...and resting...
and enjoying all of that glitter.

Oh so many beautiful things! I'm soooo anxious to add touches exactly like the ones you shared for my Christmas decor this year...thanks for sharing the inspiration :)
Hello Gracie...I'm Gracie too:)
I love Christmas shopping and buying new items for the house...I too love all the glittery treasures you found...especially the little blue ball with its long spokes.(I wonder how you grandma made them???)
I will start my Christmas fun this weekend...hopefully the tree with all its glorious trimmings will be up by Sunday night.
Blessings
Gracie
Oh so pretty....
Love your pictures Rene'! We made some of those starburst things last year - because my mom said she used to make 'em. Here is the link to how we made them.

Hi Rene,
I would love to be able to attend this open house some day. It really does look lovely. I enjoyed your white Wednesday post too. You do white so beautifully. I'm sure I've told you that before, but it bears repeating I think.
I hope your Thanksgiving was delightful. Ours was perfect and sadly, everyone has now gone home and the house is quiet once again.
Hugs,
June
I like anything that sparkles, so I know I would have enjoyed browsing through this beauty also. I thought it all would look good with the all the white beauty that you create.
Hello Rene, Your photos are delicious. I would love to have them in a coffee table book to look at and inspire me whenever I needed it.

I love all these beautiful things! When I was little I loved Glitter. Even when it went "out of style" I loved it. I love it even more now.
But then...I was always the odd ball. I'm so glad sparkles are loved by so many now. I don't feel so alone!
