disappointment...

Disappointment
blew into our home
this week
like a cold winter's wind.

and with it feelings of
discouragement, weariness, and fear.
But those are only feelings.

It is in times like these
that I come back to these life verses.

As for God, His ways are perfect.

2 Sam 22:31

(Oh, don't get me wrong...
I've battled with this before...
perfect is perfect...always...
not just when it's going my way)

But I trust in you, Oh Lord;

I say, You are my God.

My times are in your hands.
Psalm 31:14

Have a blessed day of rest, dear friends,

Rene'

Hang in there....letting go of disappointment, discouragement, worry and embracing trust is such a difficult thing. Wishing you peace for the journey.

Dear Cindy, what a melancholy post...however you seem to be handling it well. May the Lord bring peace to your house and heart.

Isn't it so much easier in the good times and so much more fun! And those times will come again meanwhile you get to excercise in giving it over to the Lord sometimes on a minute to minute basis... I am trying to labor into that rest of giving it over. Isn't it funny we have to labor to rest, I can't wait until I can do that easier!
Blessings

When the bone chilling winds come, rest in the arms of God. It may be disappointing now, like the winter winds, but when He empties our hands, its only to give us something better. Unclinch the fists and open them to Him.

Sorry about the disappointment but you have a beautiful perspective and you expressed it so well with your photography and words. Hang in there. God is still in charge.

In times of disappointment, it's a comfort to know that God sees and understands. This too shall pass. May God richly bless you this week.

I love the verse in Proverbs that tell us to Trust in God, always.

I've had a HUGE disappointment myself this past month. I even feel liked I've failed at something and failure (even if it is only perceived!) is NOT something I like to face.

I'm learning to finally do exactly what that scripture I just spoke of says..."...LEAN NOT UNTO MY OWN UNDERSTANDING, BUT IN ALL THY WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM AND HE WILL DIRECT THY PATH...".

Thinking of you and lifting you up to the Most High!

Love, Rebecca

I am running so late with a comment on this post...but I so admire your images.
YES GOD IS PERFECT IN ALL HIS CHOICES for our lives....especially those we disagree with.
