words...

word(s)-n. an articulate sound or series of sounds

which symbolizes and communicates an idea

I've been thinking about the power of words.

My words.

What I say and what I don't say.

The Words I should say

Words of blessing.

Words of encouragement.

Words of love and life.

Words of praise

The perfect Word

May the words of my mouth
( my mouth, my pen and my keyboard)
and
the meditations of my heart
be pleasing in your sight,

O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Psalm 19:14

Very powerful post. Thankyou. Having been through a life changing illness, I have learned the power of scriptural positive words in and for my life. Not to speak negative over myself, but to trust the Lord and speak His Word over my situation. These are very hard things to do when you feel down and things in "the natural" seem hopeless. But God is faithfull and He honors OUR Faith.

Hi Rene` and Happy Sunday!
Words are indeed a powerful thing. With them we have the ability to either build up or tear down and it's up to us which we chose.
May all of our words be seasoned with gentleness.

Have a great rest of the day ;-).

God's Word...our words...and the exquisitely beautiful way you shared this post, blessed my early Monday morning in a very special way. I am reminded once again of the importance of my words. Thank you for this gracious inspiration.

Beautiful and inspiring as always. Do you make housecalls in Florida? We're buying a new house and want it all "Miss Gracie". Take care and God bless you richly.

Proverbs 19:7 A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.

Proverbs 19:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

I think Debra way on top said it nicely trusting in the Lord word over any situation that rises up in our lives. Being careful in what we say is so important.
