re-purposed white...

WANTED: chippy, white work table
for my *inspiration* room

I went out on a hunt in the barn.

FOUND:
chippy white door and table legs.
Both from previous thrifting days for *someday*.

Perfect.

This is what those *hands* were working on.
For me.
You'd think it was my birthday ...

The iron bed was also out in the barn
for someday...

As you can see the legs are bent
and we don't have any rails
so I was waiting for the right opportunity to use it.

Husband: "Are you going to use this table
or
are you going to decorate it?"

Me: " HMM...Yes."

So this is the beginning of my room.
I think I'm having too much fun.

A few up-close pretties.

Skip on over to Faded Charm
to more wonderful whites.

Beautiful post Rene'. Love your table. I have three old white doors that I still need to figure out for sure what I want hubby to whip up. Just when I think I have decided... I change my mind again. LOL

And I love how you have USED/decorated (chuckle) your table.

SO Great Rene', I did something similar years ago for a client and I added a piece of plexi glass (if you spell it that way!)so you can add photos and memories between the door and the glass. Buona Notte mammabellarte

That is amazing! My favorite White Wednesday project yet. I have an old door that I'm saving to use as a countertop. I wonder if that kitchen re-do will ever happen =)

Hi Rene`,

You must have had so much fun decorating your room and the end result is just dreamy!

I read your post below about your husband and I think it's the sweetest tribute I've ever read in Bloglandia. I hope his heart is feeling a little less heavy, but this must have been a very difficult birthday for him. Praying that the Lord gives him a good measure of strength to lean on.

God bless,
Cori

Hey Rene'
I love that table and I really love the fact that hubby has reconciled himself to your ideas and wishes. How many years did that take? Just wondering so I know when I can look forward to have him do my bidding;) That room is wonderful!
