memories in white...

Today's white is a trip down memory lane.

In honor of my miss g's birthday

I dug out photos of her 16th birthday party.

It was quite the production.

We built (I mean husband built)
the make-shift structure
just for this.

We had to *hang* a chandelier, you know.

An evening dinner party

in the garden

Her sisters
and
the friends she had grown up
with were invited.

Can you tell?

She is a detail person (like me).

We had so much fun working on this together.

The menu :

Homemade Bread sticks

Green Salad with Italian Vinaigrette

Chicken Parmesan

Penne with Alfredo sauce

Chilled Lemon Souffle'

Chocolate Truffle Tart

Fresh Raspberries

All from scratch

all by herself

Every year for her birthday

She would have *teaparties*

Pretty dishes and yummy food.

She is her mama's girl.

I miss those teaparties.

How darling. I didn't get to do that with my daughter, nothing frilly aout her. But my granddaughters love tea parties. We have at least two special ones a year. Thank you for the dinner in white idea for when their older. Do you think your hubby would come and build that canopy for me so I can hange a chandelier?

How fun it must be and so very girly. I've missed out on things like that; have a son. Oh, I have nieces but unfortunately they thought I'm too old fashioned. You have been truly blessed :o)
