white wednesday fun...

goodbye picnik
you've been a swell friend
we have spent a lot of time together
you've taught me a lot about  art and photography
and bringing the two together
you have brought me many hours of pleasure

I  am going to miss you

or
 am I?

Just when it looked like I was going to have
to break down and learn (and pay for) photoshop
I  heard
about picmonkey (I do not know where they come up with these names)
It's run by some of the old picnikers ...
so it is very similar.
The transition has been painless
and
I think I might even like it better.
and for the girl who does not like  change that is saying a lot.

I took a few hours on Sunday
to have a photo shoot of my Easter roses
and then played on picmonkey.

So check it out...it's loads of fun.
I just finished with my taxes...tonight is Mrs. G's first baby shower...my girl and I had fun shopping this morning...I can't show you yet but let's just say that it might  involve pink  polka dots.

I guess I'm going to have to try one of these...I do use Photoshop but I honestly only use it for adjusting color and sharpness...never anything fun like what you come up with!
Beautiful images!

Well I learnt something new this morning. ..It's early morning here in Australia.....I have never heard if picnik or picmonkey. I will check the latter out. Have fun at the baby shower.

OMG!!! I just used your link to get there and played with one image. What fun and soooo much easier than Photoshop. Everything is right there, I wish Photoshop was as straight forward as this Picmonkey!
Thanks for the awesome tip!!!

Oh, I agree that the names of things are so wonky these days.

Your photos are just gorgeous, though. I will check out picmonkey. Have you heard of Gimp? I am trying to use it but boy it's tough.

Your photos are LOVELY! Maybe I should break down and check out picmonkey!

I've been using Picasa for several years. It probably isn't as technical and may not have as many options, but it suits me.
