just wondering...

today i am:

wondering if all 50 year old women are crazy women
wondering if Miss Gracie's** is a thing of the past
wondering what's for dinner
wondering  about the grace that saves us from ourselves

wondering if i can decorate the family room without lace
wondering how the rest of the family photo shoot will turn out
wondering what i should post for white wednesday
wondering what i will be when I grow up

and what i've been doing:

praying for an old friend
thanking God that except for the grace of God go I
waiting to see the rest of the family photo shoot
trying to schedule the annual peach can-a-thon
realizing that each week takes me further away from Miss Gracie's**
laundry, dishes, and bookwork
waiting for the UPS man

Here is the sneak peek
of the family photo shoot
straight from facebook

Inspiration will have to hit soon
and
 very soon
if
I'm gonna  make it for WW.
If not
I'll try to get caught up with you all
and
catch ya next week.

Good questions, but don't fret about answering them. Concentrate on the grace. :-)

What great family photos! And it is ALWAYS good to wonder what we will be when we grow-up. Without ever wondering, life would be boring if we didn't continue our journey!

Take care, Sue

I'm just wondering... where did you get that pretty pink glass? I found several just like it at the local thrift shop but I've never seen any like them anywhere else until now...so pretty filled with beautiful flowers. :)
Your family pics are extraordinary! Beautiful people,

I think this time of year so many things feel out of sync...at least for me.

The family portraits are stunning...brings tears to my eyes to think someday my adult kids will bring babies home for me to kiss and pose in antique chairs :)

What a totally wonderful, marvelous and delightful thing getting your family together....for a photo shoot...that is a lot of folks to commmit to one single point in time. Do they all live near you ?
Did you have a portrait photograher do if for you ? Just curious...it is so great.

I always encouraged famlies ( when I had my studio ) to get as MANY of the family that you COULD get together and get the photo's MADE !
Becasue you never know if the next time someone would permanently be missing from the family portrait...so get as many as you could at that time and JUST DO IT.
The long story short about why I felt this way..is that before I was a portrait photographer, I wanted to have a family portrait done..and my husband kept putting it off...and then our oldest daughter died quite suddenly..and that was that.....we were never all there again. If we had done it when I wanted...we would have had our family portrait. But if this all sounds like crazy advice...never mind...JUST DO IT.

I think you have many thoughts on your mind right now....hmmmmm ?
Stay in the WORD, when I get like that, which is far far to often, the enemy seems to just get ahold of things and more often than not I can't see the forest for the trees....maybe it is about being a 50 something lady...over the Hill...what Hill, I didn't see any Hill ?
Your photo shoot is wonderful....
Just breathe deep.....
Gentle hug,
Deby

First off, your family is absolutely beautiful! You have so many beautiful flowers in your Garden of Life. How blessed you are..
Secondly, I so relate to what you are sharing. You have put into words the similar questions I have been trying to answer for myself. I don't think it's a physical age thing as much as God is pruning us for these last days to be more productive in His name for His purpose which is always a living example to others. Don't quote me on that, it's just what I have been sensing from Him.
Hope you do participate in WW. I'm going to try to join that conga line today as well. But will have to see how that goes...;)

Peace and joy to you my dear friend, as He lights up your path,
xoxox,
Ellen

Your reminders to me have come to my mind as I read this post....our lives are all about seasons.

I am so thankful for the gentle rhythym of the seasons....not everything is to be done at once.

But I trust in you, O LORD;
I say, "You are my God."
My times are in your hands.

Are you thinking about not doing your furniture anymore? That would be really sad, unless it is the kind of letting go that is good, I had that kind when I gave up my Antiques business a few years ago...

The pictures of you and your family are just so real and wonderful with the furniture and the barn. Love them!!!

Don't worry about the answers, thank God they are by faith, already solved! I love the word concerning prayer, "ask, believing you HAVE already received..."
Bless you this week,
Donna Lynn
