the very last corner...

I think this is it.
the last of my bedroom corners.

This cabinet was my mother-in-law's.
then mine.
then my mom's.
and
then
 mine again.
I love the victorian lines and carvings.
my husband-not so much.

I am thinkin' if we  take it
down the stairs
and
outside
 to paint
it
will
NOT
make it back
UP
the stairs.
Soo, I am trying it
*as is*
with lots of white pretties
inside.

lots of this going on around here

If you missed my bedroom
you can see it
that's it for another great white wednesday

Beautiful! Love all the things your incorporated into your armoire. I am in the middle of trying to do some vignettes in my new room, so I studied these very carefully. Thanks for the inspiration!!

Hi Rene! The cupboard looks just gorgeous!! You have it decorated so perfectly with all your white pretties! I am a white painted furniture girl, but I think that dark wood is a wonderful backdrop to really show off the white! Looks fantastic!

So many beautiful treasures! The same thing would happen at my house so in the past I have resorted to just covering the floor well and painting my furniture where it sets. LOL! A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do! Theresa

I love the way everything is arranged - very pretty odd bits and ends in every photo, especially that hand mirror. Happy WW!

Rene,
I've spent the past half hour catching up on your blog. It has been a very busy summer here. Your latest corner is perfection. Those shoes are the most beautiful things I've ever seen! You have such a gift for display, honestly your home just takes my breath away.
Congrats to your sweet girl. Oh they look like babies, but I guess we all were at one time. She is darling, looks exactly like you! Her pic holding the ring up & yours are right next to each other, funny. I can only imagine the wedding you will plan, can't wait to see those pictures.
Lastly, I had to laugh at the triplets crying. My favorite pictures of my trips was their 2nd Christmas. All 3 of them in matching striped long johns in a wagon bawling. Oh memories.

It's just beautiful, you have it filled with lovely treasures! Sometimes a stained piece is good to add some balance. I have a lot of that going on around here!

Renee, I have visited before and come back to see your beauty.
I have also had a nightmare piece that I could not move back and forth and years would go by with wanting to paint it. So one day I covered the area with painters canvas and left it in it's place and painted it right where it was. All and all it was a great move for me.

The look of it does suite the room and you did a great job with all the white added to it.

will be back to take more beauty in.
