the calm....

after the storm.
The storm's name is
Miss Gracie
she touched down here...
the site of the Barn sale

and
this is the aftermath of the storm.

It is  quiet
and
I am left wondering...
what to do
 now
after those l-o-o-o-ng  frantic hours of last week.
~
~
~
I could clean-up
I could do my mountain of paperwork
I could organize
but

I did this

I played with my roses

I tried all sorts of backgrounds

in all sorts of places

Which one do you like best?

I'll be back
tomorrow
for

White Wednesday
to show you the rest of the story.

apology here:
I do so appreciate the comments left for me
over the last little while

i am slowly  trying to get around to see you
but I know there is no way
I can get caught up.
Please, KNOW,
that your comments mean so much to me
they encourage me
and inspire me.
so, don't stop!

  4. What better way to unwind and enjoy the moment than to "play" with those gorgeous roses. Roses may fade, so enjoy them while you can.
Your photos of the aftermath are even gorgeous!!

  5. That's exactly what I do when life gets too crazy, Rene...play with something pretty! Keeps us
    sane(r), doesn't it?!

Those must be David Austen roses...my favorites...so fat, luscious and fragrant! Just can't tell which ones they are...

Hope your night is just wonderful!

  12. I love this post! It's so refreshing to see that other people make messes to. I thought that I was the only one to have such an aftermath, and then I to want to play... I think I play because I make such a mess I don't know where to begin to clean it up, (it can be a bit overwheleming at times) anyway I love your beautiful photo's, all of them!!! Blessings~~~Daphne

I think I like the one with the chicken wire behind it the best!

  19. There is no way I could pick a favorite background. As long as those beautiful roses are the focus, the background is inconsequential!
Thank you for the lovely distraction of your beautiful pictures.

  22. This is so funny Rene, having your home all in a disarray. Hey you can always get to it at another time.

Sometimes my bedroom can look like that when I don't know what to wear trying on everything just so I can find the right outfit and not be late for the occasion and I end of being little late anyways.

    Beautiful arrangement of Pink Roses.

    Your something else.... LOve it!

They are enormous and of so beautiful in all the settings you have them in, it would be impossible to try to decide.
