whatever...

This may be s-t-e-t-c-h-i-n-g it
for white wednesday but I'm going to anyway.
I want to share a bit of what's been on my heart this week.

Whatever is…

true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable

if anything is excellent or praiseworthy

think about such things.

We're all women here, right?

We know how emotions

can rule

our hearts and our minds.
When I get in that dark place
and
the thoughts are swirling
and
just getting darker and darker;
this is what I come back to:
What do I know  to be true?
I can always come back to the
promises of God
and HIS character.
God is good.
HE loves me.
And HE's got this(whatever this  is).
And almost  all  of what
I am dwelling on
is NOT truth
but
rather my emotions.
This week, this became
my meditation once again.

  1. Remembering that will always lift your spirits !
Couldn't have said it any better than what God's word already said. Sometimes it is SO hard to take our focus off the "IT" that is going on... but his word is a constant truth and lights our way.. Into a happier place :)

  11. Just love this, gal! And it is one that I have been practicing myself! I have a 2nd blog I recently started called One Joyful Soul, and I did a companion post to yours yesterday!
Hope you'll check it out. It's about taking those bad thoughts captive, and replacing them with the truths of God's Word.

You can find my other blog here:

Have a delightful week with all of that loveliness swimming around in your head!

  19. I have that scripture on a plaque in my office, but sometimes I forget to look at it. Perhaps I should tatoo it on my heart for a constant reminder instead. Lovely post.

  21. Rene,
Love your post! The pink roses were the flower of choice in our wedding and truly speak of romance and love to me. What greater love have we than the love of our Lord and Savior? May He bless you right where you are!
    Fondly,
    Pat

When I am depressed I always take a walk and come face to face with what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy.

  23. Hi Rene, I love your White Wednesday post! God is with us in everything and every step of the way and we need reminding of this so much! I KNOW I DO..

HE IS GOOD AND HE DOES LOVE US, WE ARE BLESSED!

I enjoy dropping in on your blog, love your photography and your antiques. I don't know where you are in the U.S., but here in Canada, I'm in Northen Ontario, antiques are rare. Even in the South and in places that carry them, it is not as nice as the stuff you have down under.

Have a blessed rest of the week.

    Blessings & Love,
    Koren
