Sometimes a girl needs a break...
During the last week
I have stepped back from the computer
I have stepped back from the computer
not completely,
but enough to rest and to regain some balance.
but enough to rest and to regain some balance.
I have been digging in the dirt,
watching my girl golf,
working on my porch
and
just enjoying the sunshine.
just enjoying the sunshine.
This week to continue with my break,
I am going to pull out some previous Mother's Day posts
In honor of Mother's Day
I'm going to show you my mother's house.
we do love
our shabby WHITE
I have lived near my mother
for all of my married life
We have spent many hours together
shopping for treasures
and
discussing decorating trends and ideas.
She is my friend, my companion, my mother.

ReplyDeleteI think it's wonderful that you and your mother have the same taste in decor and get to spend a lot of time together. My mother has been gone almost 19 years and I now have the same taste she did as I inherited some of her furnishings and china. :) When I look at my tall china cupboard I think of her. You are blessed to have your mum with you still. Treasure your time together. Pamela
ReplyDeleteI love your home and your mother's house! The white is pretty, yet so serene and peaceful!

A lovely post in honor of Mother's Day. Your mother's house is difinitely not "Granny" style! You've obviously inherited her flair for decorating.
ReplyDeleteYour Mother has a beautiful home! Like Mother, like daughter I see! So nice that you live so close to your Mom and hunt for treasures together! I envy that! I live 1000 miles away from my Mom, she's in Canada, I'm in Utah, and whenever she comes down here that's what we do...go on the hunt! We have fabulous times together! (*_*) xo
ReplyDeleteSo pretty!!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! Her home is beautiful. I really love the fireplace with the dark brick or is it stone...

I'd love to come have tea in your beautiful house. So cozy. I recently moved away from my mother for the first time in my life. She's 5 hours away. Just far enough to be, well, "not close". I understand the bond.♥
ReplyDeleteLinsey
What a beautiful home your Mom has! It looks so comfy and inviting! The whites are just so serene, too! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had photos of my Mom's old house. Her new house I'm sure is much more grand...and the company second to none...but when she was still here with us, her home was so lovely. And she was an upcycler that reduced, recycled, and reused long before it was fashionable!
I love reading about other women and their Moms...it just warms my heart, and brings back such fond memories.
Blessings, Rene,
Becky

My Mom did not care for anything old and likes everything brand new. I even questioned at times if I was really her daughter! LOL!
She passed away 8 years ago but i still do miss her and always will. Enjoy your Mom while you still have her with you...
