hello...

Spring?
I've been wanting to see
how my newly painted white house
would look in the snow.

I didn't think
I would have to wait
until the first day of spring.

go figure.

  8. It does look pretty! Sorry you got snow today. It was unusually warm here today at 70 F. Normally it would be about 34 - 36F. We'll be getting snow Saturday night but until then I'll enjoy the sunshine and warm breezes. Your snow is probably gone now right? Blessings, Pamela

  37. Hi Renee,
It's been ages since I've been on the blogs. Long story, longer winter, LOL. Your house is just so perfect. I love the detail & all the little tucked away spaces like the pantry & stairs. I can't wait to see what you do. Hope your roses bloom soon.

  39. A few years ago our first day of spring brought 6" of snow! Yesterday it brought rain. Enjoy!

  40. Somewhere it's still winter and not 20 degrees warmer than normal? Enjoy your brief snow. I would guess it won't last long. Your house looks pretty in the snow! And I love your front hall...wonderful staircase. I'm amazed at your wall paper removal--considering I worked 17 hours on a small patch of, yes, unprepped right on unpainted wallboard wall paper. Finally gave up!

  41. Yep, go figure! But it looks so lovely! We just got some snow too! Sheesh!

  42. It does look pretty so vintage. The weather has been so weird. In New Jersey they say we are three weeks ahead of schedule with everything because it has been so warm.

  50. Yes, your home with the snow does look like a beautiful vintage post card. Lovely. As for snow on the first day of Spring: think Mr. Winter was miffed that he did not act all big and blustery in some parts of the country, so he wanted to have the last laugh by dumping snow on the first day of Spring! Blessings.

  52. Oh goodness! We have been experiencing unusually warm temps this winter and things started popping up green really early but we've been known to have a hard freeze as late as the first of April. So far, so good! Spring is in full force.
