lilac love...

  Oh, how I love lilacs.

the color, the fragrance,

the memories

such sweet memories

memories of
Lilac Inn
a   place of childhood  dreams

and now new memories
memories of my big boys
bringing their mama lilacs for mother's day.

  1. I miss my Lilacs. Years ago, I had a house where there was a bush right outside my window. When it would bloom, I could open the window and the sent would fill the house. Thanks for taking me back there.

  14. Lilacs generally don't do well in my part of Texas, but my mother would talk about playing under a giant lilac bush when she was a wee one. The look on her face when she would reminisce is a favorite memory of mine. Thank you for reminding me of it.

  15. LOVE lilacs!!! All of my life favorite flower. I grew up with a block long row of solid lilacs and would pick arm fulls to bring home to my mom. I'm anxiously waiting for ours to pop open, it's been sooo cold here. Your photos are lovely, as always!
