They look terrible. The wood is in pretty good shape, but the middle where it is upholstered looks AWFUL! It is a foam? seat with fabric over it and some kind of tacks to hold it around the edges. I can't seem to find anything on how to redo them. Any tips or links? How do you plan to redo the middle seat parts?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01026139129681788005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5069914728575928846.post-49067191392019468032012-04-20T19:43:49.612-07:002012-04-20T19:43:49.612-07:00such beautiful chairs! please share photos once yo...such beautiful chairs! please share photos once you place them around your table!Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10560899148296081724noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5069914728575928846.post-805345849948378482012-04-20T01:55:04.756-07:002012-04-20T01:55:04.756-07:00What a great chairs, it looks really nice! ,I thin...What a great chairs, it looks really nice! ,I think the dark wood mixed in with white looks beautiful! I can envision crisp, linen or even patterned fabric like fretwork in blue and white or green and white for seat covers. That would mix mod with vintage. I meant to comment on your last post but must have gotten pulled away from the computer (literally) We have old original trim and I did paint the dining room because it was kinda beat up and I love it but I promised Duane that I would not paint the rest of the downstairs trim, it has been the same for over 100years so I will just work around it. I am hoping that when I paint my walls white the trim will really pop! t.xoxoxthe old white househttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12640264796748761771noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5069914728575928846.post-34050668921997416172012-04-15T05:22:42.481-07:002012-04-15T05:22:42.481-07:00Hi Sweetie

Living in an old house I know how dark some of the rooms can be. I didn't have to make that choice because all my woodwork is painted. Funny, when I moved in the house 22 years ago I started stripping the woodwork only to find fir. Coming from Mn I had the mindset that it would be some exotic wood. Not in IL, but what was really cool was they had an artist come in and faux paint all the woodwork to look like an expensive wood. I don't know who the idiot was that painted over it the first time but there are so many layers over the original artwork now that it will stay linen white... I say paint it!
Blessings this beautiful Sunday
RebeccaRebeccahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10278401609888310410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5069914728575928846.post-7716108693571745982012-04-14T19:55:56.179-07:002012-04-14T19:55:56.179-07:00Your chairs are so perfect for your beautiful home...Your chairs are so perfect for your beautiful home!
